Bemax AS delivers directly from the manufacturer to large consumers in Scandinavia. We are specialized in all types of Replacement glass, Anti-scratch film, and Safety film for Trains, Trams, and Subways. In addition, we supply Safety Glass for Buses, Trucks and Construction Machinery. We supply the only scratch foil in Scandinavia that is EN45545-2 certified.
Through good partners in Europe, we can offer 30,000 different glass article numbers for most train types. Minimum quantity down to 1 piece on windscreens.
Bemax AS was founded on 30 May 2004, and is based in Skien, Norway. The company has had healthy finances and positive equity since its inception. The company has a low-cost profile in terms of organization and locations. This is to be flexible and very competitive, as well as to always be able to give our customers the best possible prices. 2 key people responsible for the day-to-day operations. Both with 30 years of experience in special glass and foil.
Through our contact network, we check out various solutions and make use of several suppliers within the same product areas. This is to offer our customers the best possible prices and delivery times.
Our primary concept is to deliver replacement glass at competitive prices, as well as to find new solutions and adaptations, where the standard range in the market cannot meet the user’s needs. For example, curved glass that requires higher security, better heating, or both. All products supplied by us fulfill our customers’ requirements for quality and applicable standards. We are also the only supplier of EN 45545-2 certified scratch foils in Scandinavia.

PLYGUARD100 Anti-scratch Clear
Protects the surface from scratching and vandalism. The perpetrator thinks he is scratching the glass surface. At the next service, the foil is replaced with a new invisible foil, which gives the glass a new undamaged surface. Provides large savings when avoiding costs for new glass, as well as the labor costs for replacing glass. Also provides good opportunity to implement zero tolerance for scratched glasses in the train set.
PLYGUARD100 Anti-scratch Colored
Equal characteristics as for Clear, available in 3 different colors. Colored Anti-scratch foil provides sun protection, and prevents fading of the interior. The following colors are offered: BLACK50, BLACK35 and BLACK50.

PLYGUARD100 Ripefolie Clear
Beskytter overflaten mot riping og vandalisme. Gjerningsmannen tror han riper glassoverflaten. Ved neste service, byttes folien, og ny usynlig folie, som gir glasset ny uskadet overflate. Gir store besparelser når man unngår kostnader for nye glass, samt arbeidskostnadene for bytte av glass. Gir også mulighet til å gjennomføre nulltoleranse for ripede glass i togsettet.
PLYGUARD Colored
De samme egenskapene som for Clear, men med 3 ulike farger/toning som i tillegg gir sol beskyttelse, og hindrer falming av interiøret. Følgende farger tilbys: BLACK50, BLACK35 og BLACK50.

Skyddar ytan från repor och vandalism. Förövaren tror att han kliar på glasytan. Vid nästa service ersätts folien med en ny osynlig folie, vilket ger glaset en ny oskadad yta. Ger stora besparingar när du undviker kostnader för nytt glas, liksom arbetskraftskostnaderna för att ersätta glas. Ger också möjlighet att implementera nolltolerans för repade glas i tåguppsättningen.

Bemax AS represents various European suppliers within special glass for trains, trams and subways.
We find the best, most affordable and fastest supplier and solution. If necessary, we can specially adapt sizes, heat output, and thicknesses – i.e. all types of adaptations and special solutions for our customers. Minimum quantity 1 pc. on windshields.

Safety glasses
Bemax AS has 30 years’ experience with all types of safety glass in vehicles.
Curved and flat safety glasses. Our Safety Glasses consists of Original windscreen or side window, in combination with Polycarbonate. Our solution removes the problem of scratching the glass on the outside, while at the same time having a high impact resistance against flying objects, stones, etc. No need for extra frames. Glued/mounted into machine/driver’s cab as with original glasses.
Through our long experience, we find the best solution for each individual project and security class.

Bemax AS has 30 years of expertise in Ballistic and security glasses. Based on the desired threat level and security class, we find the best technical and most favorable solution for our customers.
We use various manufacturers of Ballistic and security glass from all over the world. Our main collaboration partner is the Crystal Company in the Netherlands. Together, we find the best technical and favorable solution for our customers.
Bemax AS supplies all types of Ballistic and security glasses:

Replacement parts
Bemax AS works with an extensive network of original parts suppliers to the railway industry.
Bemax AS can in principle supply all types of replacement and spare parts for train equipment. Also, where there is a need for upgrades and changes due to older material and new requirements. All replacement parts meet original and/or current train material standards.
Our suppliers are exclusively European.

Safety foil 2B2
Bemax AS is the sole importer of PLYGUARD splinter and safety films in Scandinavia. Due to direct import from the manufacturer, Bemax AS can offer very competitive prices.
PLYGUARD Security films are supplied in all standard thicknesses, including PLYGUARD 500 (20mil), which meets the requirements of ER1 “Bombproofing” of glass in buildings. See separate page regarding Plyguard 500 “Bomb film”.
PLYGUARD Safety films are 1 to 3 layer PET based films, and are certified and tested according to EN12600 and EN13541. All safety films are supplied as clear. In addition to physical protection, all safety films also provide effective UV protection. Stops 98% of UV radiation. All PLYGUARD films have a 10-year guarantee.

All our films are delivered in standard rolls of 1.52 x 30 meters. Rolls with specific widths can be delivered by agreement.
As an importer, we sell wholesale to retailers, and pre-cut foils to retail customers.
Bomb film ER1
Bemax AS is the importer of PLYGUARD 500 “bomb film” to Scandinavia
PLYGUARD 500 is a PET based film that meets the requirements of the highest security film class in the market – ER1.
Thickness 20mil – 500 micron. Mounted on existing glass surfaces as protection against strong pressure waves. Effectively holds the glass in place under pressure and prevents glass splinters from entering the room. Plyguard 500 safety film is certified and approved in class ER1 according to EN 13541 at TNO Defence, Safety and Security in Holland. Test and certification were carried out in May 2012.
PLYGUARD 500 is delivered in:
- Rolls â 1.52 x 30 meters
- Pre-cut foils by given measurements
- Completely assembled in the desired location
- Supplied as clear foil – Clear – as standard
- We give prices for total projects – completely assembled
- Minimum delivery per project is 100 sqm.
